Burn Players To Appear at Glen Burnie Mall

Glen Burnie, MD (Saturday, May 3, 2003) - Members of the Baltimore Burn will be signing autographs and manning a booth along side Bob Haynie with WNST sports radio, Ed Hartwell of the Baltimore Ravens and various other sport and fitness organizations this Saturday, May 3, 2003 during the first annual Indoor Sport and Fitness Event located inside Glen Burnie Mall.

Sponsored by Dick's Clothing and Sporting Goods, activities from 12p.m. to 4p.m. will include: body fat analysis, sports card show, demonstrations with cheerleaders - kickboxing - karate - aerobics, sports medicine information, sports injury prevention, give aways, contests and much more. The Baltimore Burn will be handing out game schedules and selling associated merchandise autographed by Burn players. Tickets for the Burn's next home game can also be purchased during the event.

"We are expecting a large turnout with over 500 attendees," explained Adrienne Brown, Marketing Director for Glen Burnie Mall. She described the upcoming event as a fun-filled yet informative family event and also noted that Sports Illustrated for Kids will be handing out over 250 magazines.

The Baltimore Burn is a women's full contact football team of the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). After an inaugural, no-win season in 2001, the Burn managed to become the 2002 Mid-Atlantic Division Champions with a 7-1 record.

The National Women's Football Association is a full-contact women's football league with 30 teams in six divisions. The NWFA is starting its third full season of play. More information about the NWFA can be found at http://www.womensfootballassociation.com.
