Baltimore Burn to Hold 4th Annual Kick-Off Bull Roast

Glen Burnie, MD — The Baltimore Burn will hold it's 4th Annual Kick-Off Bull Roast on Sunday, March 20th at La Fountaine Bleu in Glen Burnie, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, to raise money for the 2005 season.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat pit beef, ham, Italian sausage, rotisserie chicken, pork BBQ, side dishes, desserts, draft beer, soda and setups. A cash bar will also be available.

There will also a money wheel, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes. Tickets are $25 per person but are limited.

The Baltimore Burn is a women's full contact football team of the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). After finishing with a 0-7 record in the inaugural season, the Burn has posted winning records in both 2002 (7-1, Mid-Atlantic Division Champions) and 2003 (6-2) and made playoff appearances in both seasons. Due to retirements and injuries, the 2004 season turned out to be a rebuilding year for the Burn. Despite finishing 4-4, the Baltimore Burn was ranked #10 out of 37 NWFA teams by the Massey Ranking service. The Burn also had 6 players make the NWFA First All-Star Team, 4 to make the Second Team and 2 to make the Third Team.

The National Women's Football Association is a full-contact women's football league with 36 teams in 2 conferences. The NWFA is starting its 5th full season of play. More information about the NWFA can be found at http://www.womensfootballassociation.com.
