
Football Tryouts this weekend

Chattanooga Locomotion News Release
Pro Player Sports, which operates the Chattanooga Locomotion Women's Professional Football Team and the Chattanooga Steam Men's Minor League Professional Football Team, will both holding tryouts this weekend.
The Chattanooga Steam Men's Minor League Team will hold tryouts on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the field between Brown Middle School and Central High School. Registration will begin at 1:15 PM, and there is a $50.00 tryout fee. This is the final tryout for any returing players to be added to the roster for the 2005 season. Tryouts will begin at 2:00 PM under the direction of Head Coach Robert Thomas. Coach Thomas was an All-American at Carson Newman College and holds their all-time leading rushing record. Thomas also played for the Washington Redskins in 1991 as a free agent at running back.
Ken Hall, co-owner of the two teams, said, "We have moved the Chattanooga Steam to the South Eastern American Football League for the upcoming season. After careful review of the leagues available, the SEAFL gives us the best opportunity to get our players noticed. The All Star game held by the SEAFL is structured to get more players noticed than any other league around."
The Chattanooga Locomotion Women's Professional Football Team will hold their tryout on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the field between Brown Middle School and Central High School. Registration will begin at 1:30 PM, and there is a $35.00 tryout fee. The Locomotion have gone undefeated for the past two seasons and have held the Southern Division Title for two years in a row under the lead of Head Coach Steve Lewis.
The Locomotion season will begin on April 16th with their home opener played on April 23rd against the Nashville Dream. Both the Locomotion and the Steam have moved their home games to Howard High School. Ken Hall, said, "We are excited to be able to move to Howard High School, we have wanted to move downtown and Howard High School has given us the perfect opportunity."
