
Buffalo Stampede Hire John Fitzpatrick as Head Coach

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo Stampede of the Premier Basketball League would like to announce that Buffalo native John Fitzpatrick has been named head coach for the 2009 season. Coach Fitzpatrick has spent the past 24 years coaching college basketball, including time at Navy, Virginia, and Wright State. While at Navy, he was coach to NBA legend David Robinson.
GM Roosevelt Bouie said, "My first duty as GM was to look for an experience head coach with a style of play that would best fit our players. John Fitzpatrick has coached basketball for almost 25 year and his style of play will be exciting for the Buffalo Stampede. It can be best described as fast paced, smart and hard hitting. We will need our sixth man, Buffalo sports fans, to support us as we start down the path to keep pro sports in Buffalo."
The Buffalo Stampede begin their inaugural season in the Premier Basketball League on January 3rd at 8pm at the Canisius College Koessler Athletic Center, when they host the Wilmington Sea Dawgs. Tickets are available by calling (716) 834-3498, at Ticketmaster outlets, or at Ticketmaster.com."
