Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Buffalo, NY - Tyrone Rayson had a game high 31 points, but it wasn't nearly enough for Buffalo as they drop their 16th straight, a 132-100 loss at the hands of Rochester.
Rochester shot 57.3 percent from the field and led this one for all but 19 seconds of the contest. The RazorSharks led by eight after one quarter; 14 after two; 22 at the end of three and ended up with a 32 point victory over the worst team in the PBL.
Sammy Monroe led six RazorSharks in double figures with 22. Keith Friel added 19 and Marlin Johnson had 14 on a perfect seven for seven from the field.
For Buffalo, who are now 1-16 on the season, Derick Payne added 25 points with Markus Price chipping in 17.
The win gives Rochester a one and a half game lead over Wilmington in the PBL's Eastern Division. If the season were to end tonight, Rochester would take on Manchester in the best of three second round.
Rochester and Buffalo continue their three game set on Sunday in Rochester.
Notes: Rochester was lights out from the free throw line missing only one in 21 attempts. Rochester turned the ball over only seven times while forcing Buffalo into 21 turnovers. The RazorSharks outrebounded the Stampede by 11.
