LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League were once again out in the community in full force last week. Here is a list of where Bucks coaches, players, front office staff, and Bucky were last week, and where they are going this week. Look for the weekly Bucks community update on www.laredobucks.com.

The Bucks organization spent part of their Labor Day helping raise a record amount of money for the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon on KGNS. The 22-hour event raised a record $65 million dollars worldwide for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, including $151,193 in the Laredo area alone. The 2008 Laredo total beat last year's local record of $140,000, while the $65 million dollar world wide total was $1.2 million more than the 2007's end result.

Steve Weidlich, Igor Agarunov, Bucky, and several front office members were live on the air on KGNS answering the phones and taking donations during the 3pm hour.

During the time the Bucks were on the air on KGNS they helped raise nearly $10,000, including a donation by the team.

MDA is a nonprofit organization working to defeat muscular dystrophy and 40 related diseases through research, support services and public health education.
