
Bucks Fall 3-2, Forced To Game Seven Wednesday

ALLEN, TX- The Laredo Bucks fell to the Allen Americans 3-2 Tuesday night in game six of the Central Hockey League Southern Conference semifinals at the Allen Event Center. The best of seven series is tied at three games apiece forcing game seven Wednesday in Allen. The winner of game seven will advance to the conference finals against Odessa.
Allen's Matt Radoslovich broke a 1-1 tie 5:28 into the third period when he jammed in a rebound right in front of the crease to pick up his first goal of the postseason.
Justin Bowers put the Americans up 3-1 with 7:15 left in the third period when he scored a breakaway goal. The strike was Bowers' third of the series.
Laredo cut the Americans lead to 3-2 with 4:22 left in the third when Darryl Smith banged in a power-play goal from the bottom of the slot to score his second of the series.
The Bucks were granted power-play for the final 1:03 of the game and pulled Pier Pelletier giving them a two-man advantage to try and tie the game. Allen's Chris Whitley stopped a pair of Bucks shots in the final seconds preserving the win and forcing game seven.
Pelletier suffered the loss as he set aside 40 of 43 shots while Whitley picked up the win stopping 22 of 24. Laredo was outshot in the game 43-24.
Laredo falls to 13-5 when they can eliminate an opponent from the playoffs.
Neither team was able to light the lamp in the first period as the game was scoreless after 20 minutes.
Laredo was outshot in the first period 17-9 with both teams going 0-for-one on the power-play in the first frame.
Allen struck first as they took a 1-0 lead 4:02 into the second period when Nino Musitelli scored on a slap shot from the top of the slot. The strike from was Musitell's third of the series.
Laredo would tie the game at 1-1 with 6:13 left in the second when Todd Griffith scored his team-leading fifth-goal of the playoffs from the right circle. Griffith now has seven career CHL playoff goals.
The Bucks fall to 4-5 all time in game six of a playoff series.
Laredo will play just their fourth game seven in franchise history and their first-ever on the road. The Bucks are 2-1 all-time in game seven's.

The Bucks will hold the official road watch party for game seven of the Westwind Homes Central Hockey League Southern Conference semifinals Wednesday night (Apr. 7th) at Hal's Landing when the Bucks travel to play the Allen Americans.
The party, which is presented by Westwind Homes, will start at 7pm and Hal's will show the game on a large projection screen. There will be specials and Bucks staff members will be on hand giving fans a chance to win prizes.
