
Bucks Encourage Fans To "Go Red" In Support Of The American Heart Association

LAREDO, Texas â The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks will "Go Red" this Friday night when they host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in support of the American Heart Association. Friday is the national kickoff for the American Heart Association "Go Red" campaign which raises awareness about heart disease. The American Heart Association encourages people to wear red to work, school and to the Bucks game on Friday.
"Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the country," Bucks Director of Community Relations Nicole Thompson said. "We want to do anything we can to held spread as much information as possible to stop the spread of heart disease."
The Bucks were a sponsor of the American Heart Walk. The participant who raised the most money at the American Heart Walk will drop the ceremonial first puck on Friday.
The American Heart Association will be at the LEC on Friday night to distribute information. The lights outside the LEC will be turned red in support of the American Heart Association.

· The Bucks will have a memorial game in honor of Juan Rodriguez this Saturday when they host the Corpus Christi Rayz. The Bucks will sell red, white and blue bracelets for $2 with all profits from the sale of the bracelets being donated to the Juan Rodrigo Rodriguez fund. Southern Sanitation will donate $250 for every Bucks goal during the game. People can donate to the Juan Rodrigo Rodriguez fund, account number #51803452, at any LNB location in Laredo.
