Laredo Bucks News Release


LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League were once again out in the community in full force last week. Here is a list of where Bucks coaches, players, front office staff, and Bucky were last week, and where they are going this week. Look for the weekly Bucks community update on www.laredobucks.com.

The Bucks will be at some very big events in Laredo this coming week.

The Bucks will be well represented at HEB Plus Tuesday (Sep. 16th) to celebrate Dias y Seis. Adam Rivet, Serge Dube, Steve Weidlich, Igor Agarunov, and Bucky will by read to children from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the HEB Plus, off of Bob Bullock Loop. Front Office members Bryan Benway Nicole Kupaks, JR Rathbun, Rory Brady and Kyle Reynolds will also be in attendance at the event.

The Bucks organization will be present at 14 different events this coming week.

WHERE WE'VE BEEN (September 8th-September 13th):

Monday, September 8th: Jeff Bes and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the Gateway Rotary Meeting.

Tuesday, September 9th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Director of Game Operations Mario Mecaroni attended the Jr. Bucks Meeting, at Danny's Restaurant.

Wednesday, September 10th: Account Executive Kyle Reynolds attended the Laredo

Next-Generation Rotary Meeting at Hal's Landing.

Wednesday, September 10th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady attended The Laredo Rotary Meeting, at the Holiday Inn.

Wednesday, September 10th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady attended a Cancer Forum, at the Laredo Medical Center.

Wednesday, September 10th: Front Office Members Mario Mecaroni, Kyle Reynolds and JR Rathbun attended the Wild Hogs Hockey Club Meeting, at the LEC

Thursday, September 11th: The ENTIRE Laredo Bucks staff along with Bucky attended the Laredo Buck's Press Conference to announce Adam Rivet's re-signing at the LNB Plaza Building

Friday, September 12th: Corporate Partnerships Executive JR Rathbun and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the Daybreak Rotary Meeting, at the Laredo Country Club, at 7:30am. JR Rathbun officially became a Rotarian at that meeting.

Friday, September 12th: Front Office members JR Rathbun, Kyle Reynolds, Justin Farris and Rory Brady attended the Nationwide Insurance 5th Anniversary Celebration, at Coyote Creek.

Saturday, September 13th: Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway, Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady, and Corporate Partnerships Executive JR Rathbun attended the Career Fair at the AT & T Center in San Antonio

Monday, September 15th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend the Gateway Rotary Meeting, at Embassy Suites, at 12pm.

Monday, September 15th: Adam Rivet will be interviewed on 98.1-FM and Z93-FM, at 2:30pm.

Monday, September 15th: Corporate Partnerships Executive JR Rathbun, Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady will attend the Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the Starbucks at TAMIU, at the TAMIU Library, at 2:30pm

Tuesday, September 16th: Adam Rivet, Serge Dube, Steve Weidlich, Igor Agarunov, and Bucky will be celebrating Dias y Seis by reading to children, at HEB PLUS, from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Front Office members Bryan Benway Nicole Kupaks, JR Rathbun, Rory Brady and Kyle Reynolds will also be in attendance.

Tuesday, September 16th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady will attend the Veterans Meeting, at Post 59, at 6pm.

Wednesday, September 17th: Corporate Partnership Executive JR Rathbun, Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Sales Manager Arturo Ortega will attend the Ribbon Cutting Celebration & Open House for Dancor/Ceva Logistics, 11906 Hayter Road, at 10:50am.

Wednesday, September 17th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady will attend the Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the GEO Group- Rio Grande Detention Center, 1001 San Rio Blvd., at 11am.

Wednesday, September 17th: Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski will be interviewed on 98.1-FM and Z93-FM, at 11:30am.

Wednesday, September 17th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady will attend the Toastmaster's Meeting, at the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Boardroom, at 12pm.

Wednesday, September 17th: Account Executive Kyle Reynolds will attend the Laredo Next-Generation Rotary Meeting, at Hal's Landing, at 7pm.

Thursday, September 18th: Corporate Partnership Executive JR Rathbun, Sales Manager Arturo Ortega and Account Executive Justin Farris will attend the Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Physical Therapy Specialists of Laredo PLLC, 101 W. Hillside Road #6B, at 12pm.

Thursday, September 18th: The ENTIRE Laredo Bucks staff, Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski, Adam Rivet, Steve Weidlich, Igor Agarunov, Serge Dube, Jeff Bes along with Bucky will attend the Laredo Bucks Night Out, at the LEC, 5pm-9pm.

Friday, September 19th: Corporate Partnership Exeutive JR Rathbun and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend the Daybreak Rotary Meeting, at the Laredo Country Club, at 7:30am. JR Rathbun will officially become a Rotarian at this meeting.

Saturday, September 20th: Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady, Corporate Partnership Executive JR Rathbun, and Bucky will attend the American Diabetes Association event, at the Civic Center, from 9am-2pm.

Since 2001 the Laredo Bucks take pride that they have been heavily involved in the Laredo community. The Bucks front office, coaching staff, players and Bucky have appeared at over 350 events in 2008, and look forward to many more.

The Bucks, who start training camp on October 6th, will open their seventh CHL season at the LEC on October 17th against the Rocky Mountain Rage.

Season ticket prices stayed the same as they were last season, starting at just $34 a month (including playoffs). Call 718-BUCK (2825), or visit the LEC to speak to a Bucks ticket representative.

*Bucks Night Out*

The Bucks will hold their first ever "Night Out" at the LEC on September 18th from 5-9pm in the Club Level of the LEC.

This is the first time ever that fans will be allowed in the arena to watch the laying of the ice on the floor.

At the "Night Out" fans can talk hockey with Bucks Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski, as well as Bucks players.

*Bucks Looking For Off-Ice Officials*

The Bucks are looking for off-ice officials for the 2008-09 season. If you are interested please e-mail Zach Sepesi at zsepesi@yahoo.com.

*Bucks Season Ticket Referral Program*

For every new season ticket that is purchased from a referral, the current season ticket holder that referred them will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Bucks team store. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of referrals that an existing season ticket holder can make.

For example, if a current season ticket holder refers a person who buys four new seats for the 2008-09 season, they will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Bucks team store.
