Bucks Community Update and Weekly Schedule

Laredo Bucks News Release


LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League were once again out in the community last week.Here is a list of where Bucks coaches, players, front office staff, and Bucky were last week, and where they are going this week. Last Wednesday (July 16th) five Bucks played in the Jason Cirone/Darren McCarty Charity hockey game at the RGV Ice Center in McAllen. Proceeds from the charity game go to Driscoll Children's Hospital and the McCarty Cancer Foundation.

The Bucks were represented in the charity game by the team's all-time leading scorer Jeff Bes, team captain Serge Dube, Steve Weidlich, Adam Rivet, and Igor Agarunov.

Below is a list of the events the Bucks organization attended last week, and will attend this week.

WHERE WE'VE BEEN (July 14-July 18): Monday, July 14th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson attended the Gateway Rotary meeting, at the Embassy Suites.

Tuesday, July 15th: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson attended the Membership Committee Meeting, at the Chamber of Commerce.

Tuesday, July 15 - Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway, and Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson attended the Bears Karate International Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, with Benway pumping up the crowd on the microphone.

Wednesday, July 16 -Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson attended the Laredo Rotary Club meeting at Holiday Inn.

Wednesday, July 16 - Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson, and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the Quality Motors Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting. Thursday, July 17 - Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway, and Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson attended the Business of the Month Presentation for Arguindegui Oil, a proud sponsor of the Laredo Bucks.

Friday, July 18 - Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the Brilliance Furniture Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting.

WHERE WE'RE GOING (July 21-July 25): Wednesday, July 23rd: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend The Laredo Rotary Club meeting, at the Holiday Inn, at 12pm.

Thursday, July 24th- Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend the International Intelligence Security Service Ribbon Cutting, 2603 N. Arkansas Ste.2, 12:00pm.

Friday, July 25th- Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson will emcee the Hunting & Fishing Show Ribbon Cutting at the LEC at 3:45pm, with many of the Bucks and LEC staff attending the event.

Friday July 25th-Bucky will attend the Laredo Support Group for Families of Children with Cancer Press Conference at Pegues Party House, 9902 Crystal, at 6pm.

Since 2001 the Laredo Bucks take pride that they have been heavily involved in the Laredo community. The Bucks front office, coaching staff, players and Bucky have appeared at over 250 events in 2008, and look forward to many more.

For every new season ticket that is purchased from a referral, the current season ticket holder that referred them will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Bucks team store. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of referrals that an existing season ticket holder can make.

For example, if a current season ticket holder refers a person who buys four new seats for the 2008-09 season, they will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Bucks team store.
