Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Thursday that they have re-signed former team captain Adam Rivet. Rivet, a two-time CHL All-Star, is expected to be in the lineup Friday when the Bucks host Rio Grande Valley at Laredo Energy Arena. The Bucks also made several other roster moves Thursday, including re-signing rookie defenseman Chris Pontes, who was released on Monday.
Rivet, who was the Bucks captain last season, spent the first half of this season focusing on his education before re-signing with the Bucks for his sixth season.
"We are very pleased to have Adam Rivet back on our team for the rest of the season," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He brings experience and he knows how to win, that's what we need here right now."
"I'm excited to be back and try and help this team make a run this season," Rivet said. "There's a lot of talent here and the league is so tight this season. The goal here is always to win a championship and that's our focus right now."
