Bucks Announce Dance Team Roster

Choreographer Tanya Sanders-Garza and judges Racquel Torres and Lucy Withers have selected the 15 members of the 2003-2004 Laredo Bucks Dance Team. More than 30 candidates participated in the auditions, which were held Saturday, July 19 at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
"The judges did an outstanding job of selecting our team," says Bucks Game/Promotions Director Mario Mecaroni. "The competition was tough, and the selection process was not easy. Now that we have our 15 team members selected, the next step is getting involved in the community and preparations for the upcoming season. Fans can meet our Dance Team members and support Special Olympics at this year's Round Ball on the Rio (August 8-10)."
Here is the roster for the 2003-2004 Laredo Bucks Dance Team: Stefani Alvarez, Cindy Antuna, Yvette Astudillo, Amanda Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Lyset Garcia, Vanessa Garcia, Christina Gonzalez, Roxanne Losoya, Melissa Mendoza, Ana Lisa Meza, Lorena Rodriguez, Viviana Santos, Valerie Vasquez, Claudia Villareal. The team features three returnees. Yvette Astudillo, Vanessa Garcia and Christina Gonzalez were members of the Bucks inaugural dance squad last season.
"Judging the auditions proved to be an exciting experience," says choreographer Tanya Sanders-Garza. "All the girls who auditioned were very talented, but the final 15 we selected, shined a little brighter than everyone else. We are already preparing for the upcoming season and we will be anxiously awaiting our first performance on the ice."
