Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Bucks announced today that they have been assigned forward Max Birbraer from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. The Bucks are home this Friday night at the LEC against the Austin Ice Bats. Face-off is set for 7:30 p.m. For tickets or more information call 956-718-BUCKS (2825) or go online at www.laredobucks.com.
Birbraer, who is 6'2" 200 pounds, played the last three years with the Albany River Rats in the AHL. In 57 games last season he totaled six goals and six assists.
"He is an experienced player who has spent the last three seasons in the AHL," said Bucks head coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski. "Max is a center iceman and that is something that we have been looking for. The potential for Max to score is there and that helps our depth."
Birbraer, a native of Kazakhstan, will be in the lineup when the Bucks tangle with the Ice Bats on Friday. He played two games this year with the Rampage and did not register a point.
