Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that All-af2 lineman Bryan Henderson (6-3, 280, Northwestern Oklahoma State) has signed an Arena Football League (AFL) contract with the 2002 AFL Runner-up Arizona Rattlers. Henderson becomes the second player in Stealth history to sign an AFL contract. Jeremy Johnson signed with the Buffalo Destroyers following the 2001 af2 season and was on the Destroyers practice squad for the 2002 season.

Henderson finished the 2002 season with 14 tackles, four and a half tackles for a loss, and 16 sacks. Henderson's 16 sacks ranked him second in the league behind af2 Lineman of the Year E.J. Burt (Cape Fear), and broke the team record (11.5) previously set in 2001 by Jeremy Johnson.

"When Bryan puts his mind to it, he can be a very good arena football player," said Bob Cortese, Stealth head coach. "He has the physical tools, such as size and toughness to compete in the Arena Football League."

The Rattlers are coached by former Dallas Cowboy Danny White and will begin their 2003 AFL season on February 2nd versus the San Jose Sabercats in a rematch of ArenaBowl XVI. The Rattlers will play a total of 11 games on NBC in 2003.
