Washington Kastles News Release
The Washington Kastles look to continue their hot start to the World TeamTennis season tonight at 7:00 pm vs. the San Diego Aviators. The Kastles have won their first three matches of the season for the first time since 2014, when they took home the fourth of their five consecutive championships between 2011 and 2015.
Tonight's match will be headlined by the greatest doubles pair in history, Bob and Mike Bryan, returning for their third season as Kastles. The men's doubles event will mark Bob's return to professional tennis after a two-month injury hiatus. Mike will join fellow 2018 Wimbledon champion Nicole Melichar for the mixed doubles event. College Park native Frances Tiafoe will handle men's singles for the Kastles tonight, having clinched the final set in Monday and Wednesday nights' victories.
The Bryan brothers will host a clinic for local children from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and will hold a press conference at 5:45 pm. Both events are open to media and will take place at Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center.
Key Information for all home matches:
Kastles Stadium at the Charles E. Smith Center is located at 22nd Street NW between F and G Streets.
