
Bruins Acquire Defenseman Henrikson from USHL Des Moines

AUSTIN, Minn. - The Austin Bruins announced their first roster move of the 2019 calendar year on Friday with the acquisition of Arvid Henrikson from USHL Des Moines.
Prior to this season, Herikson spent his entire career playing in his native Sweden before joining the Des Moines Buccaneers at the start of the 2018-19 season. Through 29 games, the shut-down defenseman has one assist and comes with a registered plus/minus of +3.
The 6-foot-5, 212 -pound defenseman, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft (187th overall) and has committed to Lake Superior State University for 2019-20. Joining the Bruins will pair Henrikson with another Lake Superior State commit, Che Landikusic.
The Bruins begin a home-and-home battle with the Brookings Blizzard on Friday with the first of two games coming on the road in South Dakota. The black-and-gold return to Riverside Arena on Saturday, January 5th to finish out the season. Tickets for that game are on sale now at all the Bruins vendors including Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn, and Jim's Marketplace. Tickets will also be available at the door.
