Brevard Blue Ducks News Release
Brooklyn, NY â In a game that was a "must win" for the Blue Ducks, Brevard got hammered against a vastly improved Brooklyn team, 128-108.
Despite shooting almost 52% from the floor and placing five players in double figures in scoring, the Ducks lost to the Kings for the second straight night â and failed to catch Brooklyn in the standings.
"They are a really tough team," commented Blue Ducks coach, Derek Howard. "They made some major roster changes a little earlier than us and it is starting to pay off for them."
Lenny Cooke was a major factor for Brooklyn once again, battering Brevard for 26 points and 13 rebounds. Fred Williams chipped in with 22 points and 11 boards for the Kings.
The Ducks were led by Terrence Shannon who rebounded from an awful game the night before. Shannon finished with 27 points on 12 for 24 shooting. Brian Taylor totaled 19 points. Rookie Adam Hall tallied 18.
Brevard travels to Pennsylvania next to take on the ValleyDawgs on Saturday before returning to Florida for their final homestand beginning June 6th at the Clemente Center.
