Brooklyn Aviators 2011-12 Schedule Announced

BROOKLYN, New York - The Brooklyn Aviators released their 2011-12 Federal Hockey League regular season schedule.

The club will play 53 games - 26, both home and away - along with one at a neutral site in Lewiston, Maine at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Via the FHL - The 53 game FHL season will be highlighted with each team playing one game in Lewiston, Maine. The games will be held at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, the former home of the Lewiston Maineiacs of the QMJHL. Jim Cain, rink manager at the Colisee, was very instrumental in bringing these games to Lewiston.

Brooklyn and the Akwesasne Warriors, who played in last year's FHL Championship series, kick off the 2011-12 FHL campaign at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee on Thursday, October 27.

Rob Miller's club comes home to the Aviators Sports and Events Center to face-off against the inaugural New Jersey Outlaws, and former A's forward Matt Puntureri, on October 29. The A's play the Outlaws six times at home.

The A's welcomes in their rival, the Danbury Whalers, five times to the ASEC. With no love loss between these two teams, make sure to get your tickets now as the first game is Nov. 12.

The Cape Cod Bluefins, formerly the Barons, come down the Massachusetts Turnpike six times. The first meeting between these two clubs, in Brooklyn, takes place on Nov. 5.

The expansion Danville (Ill.) Dashers and Green Mountain (Vt.) Rock Crushers, along with the 1000 Islands Privateers, only come to the ASEC two times each - so make sure you don't miss out on any of the action and get your tickets now!

Brooklyn plays the Warriors three times this season at home, but the first one not until Dec.11.
