Mia Hamm to "Trade Places" with NBC's "Today" news anchor, Ann Curry, live in New York on Wednesday morning, May 14! Make sure to tune in!
NBC's "Today" news anchor, Ann Curry, will be strapping on her shin guards on Wednesday, May 14 as she trades places with Freedom star Mia Hamm. The swap is part of "Today's" week-long series "Trading Places" that begins on Monday, May 12.
Instead of reading the news, "Today's" Ann Curry might be screaming "GOOOOAAAAALLLLL," as she gets her chance to be Hamm for a day. As Hamm, Curry will scrimmage with the Freedom and partake in other team activities. Hamm, the world's all time leading scorer, will field some of Curry's regular duties for the day, live on "Today" on Wednesday, May 14.

Freedom maintain undefeated streak and tie Atlanta Saturday, 1-1 on Goal by Golebiowski
The Freedom (3-0-1) got the team's first tie of 2003 this weekend battling Atlanta (2-0-1) to a 1-1 deadlock at RFK Stadium Saturday night, maintaining sole possession of first place. The Freedom's tie was ensured by Australian 2003 International Discovery player Kelly Golebiowski, who scored her first WUSA goal in the second half of play on an amazing far-post volley from 15 yards.
