Brigade take on Soul Saturday night in Philadelphia
The Brigade (7-3) are on the road this weekend, taking on the Philadelphia Soul (6-4) on Saturday, June 30 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center. The game will be broadcast live on Monumental Sports Network, NBC Sports Washington, AFL Now and Facebook Watch.
Brigade suffer first home loss of the season
The Brigade dropped a one-score game with the Albany Empire, 56-49, Saturday night at Royal Farms Arena, cutting Baltimore's lead to just one game in the league standings. Brigade quarterback Randy Hippeard threw five touchdowns, including three to wideout Brandon Collins. Empire quarterback Tommy Grady was named the game's Most Valuable Player after throwing seven touchdowns.
Baltimore looks to clinch first-place this weekend
The Brigade's 7-3 record gives them sole possession of first place in the league standings, one game ahead of the Soul (6-4) and Empire (6-4). Baltimore can clinch the league's best regular season record and the one-seed in the AFL postseason with a win over Philadelphia and a Washington win over Albany this weekend.
IMPORTANT DATE:
Saturday, June 30: Baltimore heads to Philadelphia for a showdown with the Soul. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center.
