Brigade drop road matchup to Empire
The Brigade fell, 61-53, Saturday night against the Albany Empire at Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Empire quarterback Tommy Grady was named the game's Most Valuable Player for his eight-touchdown performance. Brigade quarterback Randy Hippeard threw six touchdowns in the loss while defensive back Josh Victorian led the way for the defense, tallying five solo tackles and three pass break-ups.
Hippeard spreads the wealth
Brigade signal caller Randy Hippeard continues to distribute the scoring opportunities for the Baltimore receivers. His six touchdowns against Albany were spread amongst four different wideouts: Brandon Collins (2), Brandon Thompkins (2), Milton Williams (1) and Quentin Sims (1). Baltimore is the only team in the AFL with four receivers with 6+ receiving touchdowns this season.
Brigade, Empire face off with first place on the line
The Brigade are back in Albany this weekend, taking on the Empire on Saturday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Times Union Center. The winner will hold sole ownership of first place in the league standings. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
