Brigade keep Soul to just 3 points in the fourth, Boyd named MVP

The Baltimore Brigade (3-2) defeated the Philadelphia Soul (2-3), 45-30, at Royal Farms Arena on Sunday afternoon. Brigade quarterback Shane Boyd was named the game's Most Valuable Player with 17 completed passes for 154 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Defensive back Josh Victorian was named Defensive Player of the Game, recording 5.5 total tackles (five solo) and five pass breakups.
"We knew it was going to be a very physical game," Brigade Head Coach Omarr Smith said. "Philadelphia is well coached and has a lot of talent. I am pleased with how our offense played and our defense made key plays when we needed it."

DB NIAS MARTIN NAMED WEEK 4'S DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Defensive back Nias Martin was named Week 4's AFL Defensive Player of the Week for his stellar performance against the Atlantic City Blackjacks. Martin recorded two interceptions, including his first pick-six of his AFL career, and three solo tackles. Martin snagged a pass and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown, which left the Brigade trailing by just one point at 33-32 in the fourth quarter.
PLAYERS IN THE COMMUNITY: BMOREKind
The #BMOREKind initiative gives the Baltimore community a chance to interact with their favorite Brigade players and tickets to the next home game. This week the team hit the Baltimore streets to gift fans with tickets to the Brigade vs Soul game at Royal Farms Arena.
BALTIMORE BRIGADE INJURY REPORT
Wide receiver Brandon Thompkins and linebacker Joe Goosby are both out indefinitely due to injuries. Thompkins, an eight-year veteran, suffered a knee injury and the MRI revealed a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Goosby, also an eight-year veteran, suffered a neck injury. Further updates on Thompkins and Goosby will be provided when appropriate.
