BALTIMORE BRIGADE CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH

Brigade set to make third consecutive postseason appearance

The Baltimore Brigade (6-4) became the third team in the Arena Football League to clinch a playoff berth and will appear in the postseason for the third consecutive season. The Brigade secured their position on Saturday, July 6 after the Atlantic City Blackjacks fell to the Philadelphia Soul.

The postseason is following the same format as in 2018 with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs, which will take place over the course of two weekends. There will be a pair of home-and-home series between the teams during the weekend of July 27 and the weekend of August 3, with the highest-seeded team choosing which weekend they host. The two teams with the highest aggregate scores at the end of these series will advance to ArenaBowl XXXII, held on the weekend of August 11.

The Albany Empire and Philadelphia Soul have already clinched playoff positions, which leaves one spot unclaimed. Both the Washington Valor (5-5) and the Atlantic City Blackjacks (4-7) are in contention for the remaining playoff spot. Seeds will be determined at a later date.

JOSH VICTORIAN NAMED AFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Victorian played crucial part in Baltimore's 50-12 victory in Week 10

The Arena Football League announced that Baltimore Brigade defensive back Josh Victorian has been named Defensive Player of the Week for his well-rounded Week 10 performance that kept the Columbus Destroyers to only 12 points and scoreless after the second quarter.

Victorian recorded three tackles (all solo), three pass breakups and two interceptions, one of which was returned for a 36-yard touchdown, his first of the season, in Baltimore's 50-12 victory over Columbus at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD. Victorian leads the Brigade and ranks fourth in the league in total tackles with 49. He is tied for fourth most in interceptions with four. Victorian has tallied 5+ total tackles in five games this season. This is Victorian's seventh season in the AFL and his third with the Brigade.

UPCOMING BALTIMORE BRIGADE GAMES:
