Brigade Sign Pair of Former Terrapins

BALTIMORE, MD - The Baltimore Brigade announced today the signings of defensive lineman Andre Monroe and wide receiver Daniel Adams, each former University of Maryland Terrapins.

Monroe, who last played for the Terps in 2014, holds the school record for career sacks (25) and led the team in the category all three seasons he played. The Upper Marlboro, Md. native ranks third in school history with 38.5 career tackles for loss. Monroe recorded a career-high three sacks against Virginia Tech during his junior season, the same year he received The James M. Tatum Memorial Award for Lineman of the Year.

Adams began his career at the University of New Mexico before transferring to Maryland in 2012. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Adams made his first appearance with the Terps as a redshirt sophomore in 2013 against Clemson. As a redshirt junior in 2014, Adams appeared in two games, catching two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.

The 2018 Brigade regular season, presented by MedStar Health, kicks off in Baltimore, Md., on Fri., April 13, when the Brigade host the Washington Valor at 7 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. Following their season opener, the Brigade travel to Philadelphia on Sat., April 21 for a Week 2 matchup with the defending-champion Soul, a rematch of last season's semifinal matchup.
