Baltimore Brigade News Release

BALTIMORE, MD - The Baltimore Brigade announced today the signing of 2017 First Team All-Arena wide receiver Kendrick Ings, who spent the first three years of his Arena Football League career with the Tampa Bay Storm, amassing over 5,000 all-purpose yards and 49 total touchdowns.

In 2017, Ings ranked second in the AFL in receptions (98), third in receiving yards (1,141) and fourth in receiving touchdowns per game (4.6). Ings reunites with quarterback Randy Hippeard, who won AFL MVP for his performance under center with the Storm last season and signed with the Brigade earlier this week.

"Kendrick Ings is a dynamic playmaker that will help take our offense and special teams to the next level," Brigade Head Coach Omarr Smith said. "He and Randy Hippeard have a history of success and an already-established chemistry that will set the tone for our offense from the moment they step in the building on the first day of training camp. We expect that chemistry to translate to wins and an incredibly exciting product for our fans."

In addition to his efforts at wideout, Ings is one of the most prolific kick returners in the league. Last season, he led the AFL in kickoff return yards (1,063), average yards per return (21.7) and kickoff return touchdowns (4).

The 2018 Brigade regular season, presented by MedStar Health, kicks off in Baltimore, Md., on Fri., April 13, when the Brigade host the Washington Valor at 7 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. Following their season opener, the Brigade travel to Philadelphia on Sat., April 21 for a Week 2 matchup with the defending-champion Soul, a rematch of last season's semifinal matchup.
