Bridgeport bluefish 2010 schedule released
2010 season begins at home April 22 against defending champion Somerset
(Bridgeport, Conn. - Nov. 16, 2009) - Bridgeport Bluefish team officials today announced the release of their schedule for the 2010 season. The 2010 schedule will include 140 contests and features 70 home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The Bluefish will begin their season at home with a four-game series against the defending Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots on Thursday, April 22. Following the inaugural tilt against Somerset, Bridgeport will wrap up their opening homestand with a three-game set against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. The home schedule includes eleven weekend series. Game times have not been released. Bridgeport will host the first battle with their Cross-Sound rivals, the Long Island Ducks, in a four-game set beginning on Friday, May 7. This series against the Ducks also includes a scheduled day/night doubleheader on Saturday, May 8. Monday, May 31 marks another significant date in the early part of the schedule, as the Bluefish will take on the Lancaster Barnstormers in a special Memorial Day contest. "We're very excited about this year's schedule and opening the 2010 season at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard," says Bluefish General Manager Todd Marlin. "The organization is looking forward to putting together another great promotional schedule and continuing our tradition of affordable family entertainment."
