Barrage at a Glance: The Bridgeport Barrage will visit the Boston Cannons after losing to the Rochester Rattlers 15-5 on 7/12. In the loss, the Barrage scored an MLL record low five goals. Bridgeport actually went a span of 28 minutes in the game where they were held scoreless by the Rattlers defense. The Barrage are led by Dan Denihan (11g, 13a), Keith Cromwell (12g, 10a), Roy Colsey (15g, 3a) and Matt Panetta (14g, 4a). The Barrage have been outscored 69 to 40 in the second half this season in a year where they have dropped three overtime contests. Cannons at a Glance: Boston enters the game having lost at New Jersey 16-15 on 7/12. Boston has dropped four straight games after beginning the season 2-1 with wins over American Division foes Long Island and Bridgeport. Michael Watson (11g, 10a), Mike Battista (14g, 3a) and David Evans (8g, 9a) pace the Cannon's offense. This season, Boston has been outscored 58 to 32 in the second half of their games.

Last Time They Met: The Bridgeport Barrage fell to the Boston Cannons, 19-18, in overtime in their home opener on Friday, June 15th. Bridgeport led 18-14 in the fourth quarter before Paul Gait netted two consecutive two-point shots to send the game into overtime. Boston's Mike Regan put the game away for the Cannons 26 seconds into overtime with his first shot of the game. The overtime loss for the Barrage was the first of three losses in overtime this season for a Bridgeport team that has never won a game in overtime (0-5). In the loss to Boston, Bridgeport's Matt Panetta set a team record with six goals in the game while Dan Denihan added three goals and three assists. Paul Gait and Mike Battista each had four goals for the Cannons while Bill Evans had four assists. Bill Daye (Boston) and Jim Mule (Bridgeport) each made 21 saves for their respective teams. With the win, Boston now owns a 4-1 all-time series advantage over the Barrage.

Roster Moves: This week, the Bridgeport Barrage have activated midfielders Dave Ulrich (Notre Dame, 2001) and Thomas Naglieri (Adelphi, 1993) from the reserve squad. In turn, Roy Colsey (Syracuse, 1995) has been placed on the reserve squad and Blake Miller (Hofstra, 1996) has been placed on the injured reserve with a torn hamstring. Matt Striebel (Princeton, 2001) also returns to action for the Barrage after helping the US National Team to the Championship in Australia.
