Bricktown Brawlers Announce Wide Receivers, Dubbed "The Sky Scrapers"

In the weeks leading up to the most anticipated moment in Indoor football, The Oklahoma City Bricktown Brawlers will be announcing their player singings. We feel that we have some tremendous signings that are sure to impress the proud fans of Oklahoma and the IFL as a whole. Today, we will be reviewing our Wide Receivers for the 2011 Indoor football season. "The SkyScrapers" are an impressive group both as individuals and as a whole.

Alex Macey, 6'5", 255, Cornell

A 3 year Starter at Cornell, finished career with 118 receptions for 1,423 yards. In 2009 was elected as Team Captain, Team Offensive MVP, All-IIAC 1st Team, D3 Football.com All-West Region 1st Team. Macey was also the regular season leader amongst all NCAA Division 3 Tight Ends in Total Receiving Yards, Total Receptions and Receptions per Game. Regular season leader for all Tight Ends in all NCAA Divisions in Avg. Yards per Game (71.6)

Juwan Jones, 6'4, 192, Kentucky State

Jones finished out his career with 142 catches, 1,955 yards for 17 touchdowns. In 2008, Jones was awarded 1st team All SIAC for his performance. His height will make him a go to target this season.

Marcus Miles, 6'3", 245, University of Albany / St. John Fisher

Miles is an imposing target with frame and his ability to stretch the field. Miles received 2nd team all-conference recognition his senior year. Miles will be looked on to use his speed and size this season to be an imposing target.

Anthony Harrison, 6'3", 242, Louisiana Tech

Harrison closed out a stellar career with 55 receptions, 617 yards, and 3 touchdowns. After his senior season he was awarded as the 2008 All WAC 2nd Team for his production.

Mike Brusko, 6'3", 225, Maine

Brusko may be the most versatile player to come to camp. While at Maine he spent time playing QB, WR, TE, FB, and even Punter. His versatility earned him the 2009 Offensive MVP, and was the 2009 nominee for male athlete of the year at the University of Maine. Brusko will be looked on to continue his multiple roles this season.

Rashad Chambers, 6'3", 220, Fullerton College

Chambers had productive career making 62 catches for over 700 yards. Chambers was also selected as Mission Conference Honorable Mention. Chamber will present a great target for Brawler QB's.

Jerel Hall, 6'3", 220 lbs, Fort Valley State

An imposing WR with the frame of a TE. Hall will be an impressive target with his ability to catch the ball and impose his will on defensive backs. Hall had a productive career playing with current OKC teammate QB Nate Samas.

Tristen Ross, 6'1", 220, University of Oklahoma

Ross was a highly recruited prospect coming out of Evangel Christen Academy in Shreveport. Ross is the son of former Sooner great Alvin Ross. Ross played 3 years at the University of Oklahoma Sooners.

Travis Poole, 6'0", 190, American International College

Poole was a candidate for the 2008 Harlon Hill Award, the Division 2 equivalent to the Hesiman Trophy. In his final season he tied the AIC mark for touchdown receptions in a season with 15 and totaled 1,209 yards receiving on 66 catches. Poole had an outstanding career finishing as the Northeast-10 MVP, AP Little All-American, Honorable Mention all-American by Don Hansen's Football Gazette, ECAC Player of the Year, and a member of the Daktronics all-Region Team. Last season he was a threat for the Kent Predators also of the IFL.

Jarrett Byers, 5'11", 191,Northeastern State University

After and outstanding career at Northeastern State, Byers was picked up by the St. Louis Rams in 2009. While at Northeastern State he broke school career records for receptions (165), receiving yards (2,545) and touchdowns (28). Byers was awarded as an All American, Lone Star Conference North Division Receiver of the Year and to the First-team All-LSC-North awards while attending Northeastern State University.

Jahmeel Hobson, 5'11", 182, Tarleton State

Before enrolling at Tarleton State, Hobson spent productive season at New Mexico State and Reedley Junior College. Hobson finished the 2009 season with 57 catches for 1046 yards and 7 TD's, earning him a spot as 2nd team Lone Star Conference South Division. Hobson also received all conference awards while at Tarleton.

Brawlers home opener is Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at 3:05pm versus the Allen Wranglers. Great seats are still available by calling (405) 602-8557.
