(London, Ontario) The London Lightning have teamed up with 2011 Business Cares Food Drive to provide food to the London Food Banks this holiday season. The team is encouraging fans to bring a non-perishable food item to the game on Saturday, December 10th to be part of the effort. That evening, doors open at 6 PM for the 7 PM tip-off. Bins will be set up at each gate of the John Labatt Centre for collection on game night.
Saturday's game is against the Oshawa Power. In addition to success on the court, the Lightning have been very visible within the London community's charitable efforts. This Food Drive is an opportunity for fans and the Lightning to work together to help those in need at an important time of year.
