Bourbeau Returns to Jackalopes

ODESSA, TX - With two games remaining in the regular season, the Odessa Jackalopes received a boost to their lineup as forward Jean Bourbeau has been assigned to the team from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Bridgeport is Odessa's American Hockey League affiliate.
Bourbeau, 27, is set to begin his second stint this season with the Jacks this weekend against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. The Jacks and Bugs play a home-and-home series to close out the year.
Currently in his third pro season, Bourbeau returns to the Permian Basin after spending the majority of the year in Bridgeport. In 44 games with the Sound Tigers, he registered three goals and five assists for eights points, plus 48 penalty minutes.
Bourbeau appeared in six games earlier this season with the Jacks, picking up one assist, but also making him eligible to compete in the team's postseason run. Players must have appeared in at least three regular season games to be allowed on a playoff roster.
During his three-year run with the Jackalopes, Bourbeau has appeared in 116 games, scoring 22 goals and 25 assists.
In other roster moves for the Jacks, forward Kenny Bernard and defenseman Justin Sawyer have each been placed on the 10-day IR list.
The Jackalopes visit the Mudbugs on Friday before playing their final game of the regular season on Saturday at the Ector County Coliseum.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team is currently in the middle of its 14th season.
