Durham, N.C. - Rockland Boulders OF/C Joe Maloney was named the Can-Am League's 2015 Player of the Year on Saturday, in a vote of league managers and media members.
Through Friday's games, Maloney has set the league record with 88 runs scored (previously held by Worcester's Scott Grimes, with 87 in 2008), and is currently second in the league with a .334 average, 118 hits, 78 RBI and 31 doubles, first with 194 total bases and 47 extra-base hits, and tied for fourth with 13 home runs.
