Boston Cannons Announce 2014 Schedule

BOSTON, MA - (November 22, 2013) - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier outdoor lacrosse league, today announced their 14-game schedule, including seven home games at Harvard Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now starting at $124. Individual game tickets will go on sale March 1, with group packages becoming available in February.
The Cannons begin the season at home, hosting the defending champion Chesapeake Bayhawks in a tough contest to set the tone for the season. After traveling to Rochester, the Cannons return home for two straight games on May 10 and 17 against the Denver Outlaws and Charlotte Hounds, respectively. Both Denver and Charlotte were playoff contenders in 2013, with the Hounds losing to the Bayhawks in their first championship appearance.
The complete schedule is below and can be viewed online here. Game times will be announced at a later date, with the Cannons again offering a combination of afternoon and evening games with fan events and special offers for various groups.
The Cannons will host the MLL All-Star Game on Thursday, June 26th. The game will feature the MLL All-Stars vs Team USA, playing in their final tune-up before the FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Denver in July.
"After missing the playoffs in 2013, we are anxious to get back on the field and back into contention for the Steinfeld Trophy," said Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. "We have the best fans in MLL and we look forward to achieving the kind of success they have come to expect and deserve from the Cannons."
The Cannons close out the regular season with two final home games, first on August 2 against the just announced Florida Launch followed by the Rochester Rattlers on August 9. The season will culminate with the 2014 MLL Championship Game on August 23 at a neutral venue to be announced at a later date.
