Bolts Drop Back To Back at Home

London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) The London Lightning have now dropped back-to-back games at home after falling short to the St. John's Edge, 109-98 Saturday night. After an impressive start to their game where the Bolts outscored the Edge 28-16, including a 14-2 start, the Bolts looked flat and lacked energy for much of the second half.

Despite leading at half and leading after the third, the St. John's Edge took advantage of London's sluggish play in the second half to outscore London 33-22 in he third and 41-27 in the fourth. The Lightning will need to regroup quickly as they host the visiting KW Titans on Monday.

Veteran forward Marcus Capers led the game in scoring with 29 points on 6-12 shooting from beyond the arc. Canadian Garrett Williamson had had a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists. Randy Phillips added 13 points on the night and Xavier Moon added 11.

The Lightning's five-game homestand comes to an end Monday as the KW Titans make their final trip to the Budweiser Gardens for a 2PM family day match up. For tickets to the next home game make sure to visit the Budweiser Gardens Box Office or go to www.lightningbasketball.ca.
