Butler BlueSox News Release

Orlando, FL - January 12, 2015 - In addition to keeping the BlueSox a positive presence throughout the Butler community, team owner and managing partner, Wink Robinson will now be helping summer baseball grow throughout the country. The Prospect League named Robinson the new League President at their January meeting.

"I'm honored the Prospect League Directors selected me to serve as its President at a very exciting time for the League," said Robinson. "We're at 12 teams for 2015 and it is realistic the League will add two additional teams in 2016."

Robinson has been the League Vice-President since 2013. He will take the place of Bryan Wickline, who was recently elected League Commissioner. "Wink has been an essential part of the Prospect League since becoming the managing member of the BlueSox ownership group in 2011," said Wickline.

In his new role as President, Robinson has his vision set on keeping the League moving forward, but knows that it will take work from all of the teams to do so. "The key to future success in the Prospect League will be to continue with the unity existing among all 12 current ball clubs," Robinson said. "While each team must operate its franchise within the League's requirements, there are unquestionably individual and unique identities among the 12 teams.

My role is to maintain the League's progressive course with the assistance from the other 11 members." Last summer over 300,000 people attended Prospect League games; its 12 teams are spread across seven states.

"His vision for the future of our League will be invaluable in his leadership role on the Board of Directors," added Wickline. "Wink values the integrity and market position the Prospect League has gained over the last few years and sees the unlimited potential our league has moving forward for many years to come!"
