BlueSox Buck-A-Hit Campaign to Benefit the Gaiser Center
March 3, 2016 - Prospect League (Prospect)
Butler BlueSox News Release
The Butler BlueSox' Buck-A-Hit campaign will return for the 201 6 season, meaning every Butler hit will help more than just the team on the field.
For each BlueSox' hit throughout the summer, home or away, the BlueSox, Henninger and Robinson, P.C., and NexTier Bank will each donate $1 to the Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center.
In three seasons, the Buck-A-Hit campaign has helped to raise over $5,000 for local charity organizations.
The Gaiser Center began in 1 970, and follows their mission of providing high-quality, residential in-patient drug and alcohol treatment services to both men and women. The Center treats around 1,000 people annually, empowering them to recover and enjoy productive lives where they are then able to contribute positively to their families and communities.
Any businesses or individuals who would like to join the campaign by pledging an additional dollar per hit are welcome. Please email FrontOffice@ButlerBlueSox.net for additional information.
This will be the fourth season for the campaign, which has contributed over $5,000 for local charities, including the Butler Health System Foundation's Caring Angels program, the YMCA's Strong Kid's Campaign, and the Community Health Clinic of Butler.
Opening day for the BlueSox' eighth season as Butler's hometown ball club is Thursday, May 26 at Kelly Automotive Park.
