Butler, PA - May 13, 2014 - The Butler BlueSox have announced their roster and coaching staff for the upcoming 2014 season. Their manager and eight players will return from last summer's team, which tied a franchise-high wins record.

Anthony Rebyanski will manage Butler for the fourth season. Under his guidance, the BlueSox have won a franchise-high 33 games in each of the past two summers, which kept them in the playoff hunt until the final week of the season both times. Virtually every team record has been re-written since he took over as manager before the 2011 summer. Rebyanski has managed at the All-Star Game twice.

"I am ecstatic to return to Butler in 2014," said Rebyanski. "The BlueSox organization is one of the best I've been around in my coaching career and the city of Butler is very supportive in everything that we do as an organization on and off the field."

"Each year, Anthony has gained more experience and it shows in the character of ballplayers selected to play for the BlueSox," said BlueSox managing partner 'Wink' Robinson. "The Prospect League is designed to help talented young ballplayers develop their skills. Anthony is an excellent instructor."

On the field, Butler-native Cody Herald looks to play the full summer for his hometown team this year. The outfielder was sidelined for a month last year after suffering an in-game injury. He has played in every game for Seton Hill this spring, hitting .345/.416/.521. His teammate Taylor Schmidt will also be returning to Butler as well, the speedy center fielder is hitting .325/.395/364 for the Griffins. Cody Herald will return for a second season on his hometown team.

Russell Clark (University of Cincinnati), one of Butler's six All-Stars last year, will return to lead a trio of strong catchers that will includes Stuart Levy (Arkansas State University) and Jeff Revesz (Kent State University).

The BlueSox' pitching staff will be led by Tyler Ferguson (LaRoche College), who was one of the top relievers last summer. He ranked third in the League among relievers with 49 strikeouts-13 came in one game to set a new Butler single-game record. Starter Jon Anderson (Slippery Rock) will also return.

One of Butler's strongest starters in 2013, Anderson had a 2.17 ERA over 58 innings.

Jason Radwan, a two-time All-Star when he played for the BlueSox, will serve as hitting and defensive coach for the second year. Luke Dombrowsky will join the staff as the bench and bullpen coach. He is the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Bob Yenick will return as the BlueSox' equipment manager for the fourth year.
