Bluefish To Hold National Anthem Tryouts

Bridgeport, CT - March 9, 2007 - The Bridgeport Bluefish will hold national anthem tryouts on Sunday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. Those interested in trying out to sing the national anthem at a 2007 Bluefish game must register in advance. Candidates will be assigned a specific time to sing on the field (or in the dugout depending on weather) with a live microphone to simulate an actual performance. Tryout times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tryouts are voice only - no tracks or musical accompaniment will be allowed, and the words to the national anthem must be memorized. Decisions will not be made the day of the event. All who audition will be notified at a later date with regards to a performance at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.
