The Bridgeport Bluefish announced the hiring of Willie Upshaw to serve as bench coach for the 2009 season. The FairfieldCounty native returns home after spending the 2006 and 2007 seasons as first base coach for the San Francisco Giants. Upshaw, the first manager in Bluefish history, spent three years in Bridgeport from 1998-2000. He was named Atlantic League manager of the year in 1998 and led the Bluefish to their lone championship the following season.
Bluefish 2009 Mini-Plans Available The Bridgeport Bluefish have announced that ten-game mini-plans for the 2009 season are now on sale. Mini-plans are an excellent way to watch your Bluefish all summer long. Fans can choose from seven different ten-game packages and are guaranteed the same great seats for all 10 games.
