Bluefish Announce Spring Training Schedule

(Bridgeport, Conn. - March 23, 2015 ) - The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced dates and starting times for their 2015 Spring Training schedule. The Bluefish will hold Spring Training in Bridgeport at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard during 2015 and have also scheduled two special events, including a team meet-and-greet and Leadoff Luncheon.
"Spring is officially here and that means the official start to our All-Star Summer," says Bluefish general manager Jamie Toole. "These spring training games and the two special events we have scheduled will give all our fans a taste of what's to come this season."
The Spring Training schedule will include six exhibition games, with two contests against the cross-sound rival Long Island Ducks, and four against the Milford Hunters. Five of those games will be held at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.
The first exhibition will take place at home on Friday, April 18 against the Milford Hunters at 12:00 p.m. The 'Fish will then play a home-and-home against the Ducks. The team will travel to Long Island on Saturday, April 19 and then return to Harbor Yard on Sunday, April 20 for a 4:00 p.m. contest. Bridgeport will finish their Spring Training schedule with three games against the Hunters on Monday, April 20 (7:00 p.m.), Tuesday, April 21 (12:00 p.m.), and Wednesday, April 22 (10:30 a.m.).
Any Bluefish fan who would like to get a sneak peak of their hometown team before the regular season begins is welcome to attend. General admission tickets will be issued for any home spring training games with a $5 donation to the Bluefish Educational & Sportsmanship Foundation.
The Team Meet-and-Greet with take place at Tiago's Bar and Grill in Bridgeport on Wednesday, April 22 at 5:00 p.m. and the Leadoff Luncheon will commence the following day, Thursday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn. More information about both of these events will be announced at a later date.
