Bluefish Announce 2012 Promotional Schedule

(Bridgeport, Conn. - April 18, 2012) - The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced the club's promotional schedule for 2012. The 'Fish will celebrate their 15th Anniversary season as the fun-filled entertainment begins on Thursday, April 26 courtesy of Printech and continues throughout the year. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a Bluefish Magnet Schedule, while everyone in attendance will be able to witness a 15th Anniversary celebration when the Top 15 Bluefish players of all-time are announced. Fans will also have the opportunity to win special autographed memorabilia from these select players throughout the game. Come out to enjoy the first pitch of Bridgeport Bluefish Baseball for the 2012 campaign and meet Fairfield County's favorite mascot, B.B. the Bluefish all in one night.
The promotional schedule is highlighted by five fireworks extravaganzas and a special promotion for certain nights of the week. Each Tuesday during the 2012 baseball season, kids will eat free at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, courtesy of Big Y World Class Market. Every child (12 and under) will receive a voucher upon entering the stadium that can be redeemed for one hot dog, a bag of chips and one 12 oz. fountain soda or chocolate milk. On select Wednesday nights during the year, the 'Fish will host Bark in the Park nights, presented by Canine Company, when fans will be able to bring their dogs to the ballpark. Join the Bluefish every Thursday night for "Thirsty Thursday's" presented by Budweiser, while the work week closes with "Freebie Fridays." On every Friday night and select Saturdays throughout the season, featured giveaway items include 15th Anniversary Pins, Baseballs, and Water Bottles. Sunday's at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard will be All In Family Fun Days. Be sure to get to the ballpark early every Sunday as some of your favorite Bluefish players will be on the field for autographs before the game. As if that wasn't enough, stick around for the post-game kids run the bases, presented by CHET.
The Bluefish will also host exciting theme nights, including Avenger's and Batman Nights presented by Alternative Universe, Christmas In July courtesy of The Salvation Army, Hawaiian Night by Eveready Transportation, a post-Mother's Day celebration presented by Hansen's Flowers, an Antique Car Show sponsored by Lemay Motors Auto Repair, a Sock Drive courtesy of Solider Socks, and a Bikes for Kids Event.
