Evansville BlueCats News Release
EVANSVILLE, IN â Due to the UIF's recent suspension of the Dayton Warbirds for the upcoming season, there have been some minor changes to the Evansville Bluecats upcoming schedule for the 2005 season.
The Bluecats were scheduled to play Dayton twice this season, once at home on May 28th, and one contest on the road on June 11th.
As a result of the Dayton suspension, the Bluecats home opponent on May 28th will be changed from the Dayton Warbirds to the Peoria Rough Riders. Kickoff time will remain 7:05pm.
Evansville's game at Dayton on Saturday, June 11th, will now be a bye week. During the bye week originally scheduled for July 16th, the Bluecats will now play at Peoria. The Bluecats will also receive a bye week on the weekend of July 23rd.
The 11 directors of the league, along with Executive Director, Dakota Crow, worked on and approved the new schedule to limit the amount of changes that would be necessary to each teams schedule.
The Bluecats next game will be at home this Saturday, April 2nd against the Lexington Horsemen. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm at Roberts Stadium.
Tickets are available at the Roberts Stadium box office.
