BlueCats Announce Playoff Ticket Procedure

EVANSVILLE, IN: In the event of a home playoff game during the month of July, the Evansville BlueCats would like to announce their 2006 postseason ticket procedure. Currently the Evansville BlueCats enter the final week of the UIF regular season in a tie for the #4 playoff seed with the Omaha Beef. If the playoffs started this week, Omaha would win the tiebreaker and be seeded #4 with Evansville seeded #5. The #4 seed gets a home playoff game in the first round of the UIF playoffs. Evansville can earn the #4 seed, along with the first home playoff game in team history, with a victory this Saturday against the Sioux Falls Storm and an Omaha Beef loss to the Fort Wayne Freedom. The combination of these two events would give Evansville the #4 seed and a home playoff game, where they would host either Omaha or the Ohio Valley Greyhounds.
As part of the Evansville BlueCats season ticket package, all home playoff games are included in your season ticket package. All fans that purchased season tickets will receive their tickets in the mail next week prior to the potential home game next Saturday. Kickoff for the playoff game would be Saturday, July 15th, at 7:05pm.
Tickets for all non-season ticket holders will go on sale at the Roberts Stadium box office during regular box office hours beginning on Wednesday, July 12th. Individual ticket prices will remain the same as they were for the regular season home games.
The BlueCats would also like to remind fans that this Thursday, and every Thursday night during the season, the team will be having an open practice session from 7-8pm at Metro Sports Center. Admission is free; coaches and players are available for autographs and interviews immediately following practice.
