Brevard Blue Ducks News Release

Melbourne, Florida – The Brevard Blue Ducks finish a critical homestand with three games, beginning on Tuesday, against the Florence Flyers. The team stands at 1-5 in the early USBL season and faces a 13-day 6-game Midwest road trip starting next weekend.

"It is absolutely imperative for us to get on track and be in sync before we go on our longest road trip of the year," remarked team owner, Mike Richman. "These games are critical for us."

To boost community involvement and create a home court advantage, the Blue Ducks are rolling out the promotional bandwagon.

"We want the fans to come out in force to support us," added Richman. "We definitely need the support of our community at our home games."

With 3 games in 4 nights, they'll also need the energy from their hometown crowd.

This week's Blue Ducks promotional nights are as follows:

The Blue Ducks also plan on showcasing their newest player, "street basketball" phenom, Randy "White Chocolate" Gill during the three-game set.

"What other place in Brevard can you come down and see so many celebrities in one place?" asked Richman. "On Friday, you'll have Robert Reid, Darryl Dawkins, ‘White Chocolate,' and former Gators Teddy Dupay and Brent Wright all in the Clemente Center in one night."

The Blue Ducks recently began their third year of USBL action at the Clemente Center at Florida Tech in Melbourne. The USBL is in its 19th season and has sent over 140 players on to the NBA.
