WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import defensive lineman JT Gilmore to the practice roster.
Gilmore (6-4, 295, Southern Oregon, DOB: February 28, 1987 in West Covina, CA) began his collegiate career at Western Oregon where he made first-team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference during his sophomore and junior seasons, becoming the first player in league history to compile two 100-plus tackle seasons. He transferred to Southern Oregon as a senior and recorded 49 tackles and was a two-time Cascade Conference Player of the Week despite playing in only four games due to injury. Gilmore signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent last year and recorded four defensive tackles during the preseason before being released following training camp. He suited up for the Orlando Predators earlier this season and appeared in two games recording two defensive tackles and one fumble recovery.
