
Blue Anchors Sign Another from Ohio State

Alexandria,Minn - The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of shortstop Craig Nennig from Ohio State University.
The 6', 190-pound sophomore has started all 18 games for the Buckeyes this season and is one of only three players to do so. He is currently hitting .228 with a field percentage of .942. In high school Nennig was a four year starter at Wrightstown High School in Wisconsin. He was named All-Olympian Conference first-team all four years and was the conference's Player of the Year his junior and senior seasons.
"Craig will give us another option in the middle of the infield," says Kendall Hughson, Blue Anchors, GM. "He has a great work ethic and plays the game the right way."
Born April 20th, 1994, he is the son of Dave and Donna Nennig. His hobbies include playing guitar and watching the Green Bay Packers, he can also solve a Rubik's Cube in less than a minute.
"I am really looking forward to playing in Alexandria this summer, meeting new people and playing good competition," said Nennig. "I have heard all good things about the area and cannot wait to get out and play."
The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday May 27th at home versus the Mankato MoonDogs.
