
Blizzard Join Camelot in Giving

With the Thanksgiving season fast approaching, the Brookings Blizzard have teamed up with Camelot Intermediate School to host a food drive.ÃâàThis week, students are encouraged to bring in food items to donate to the Brookings County Food Pantry.ÃâàThird through fifth grade classes are competing with other classes for the prizes given by the Blizzard.ÃâàOn Tuesday, the 26 th, Camelot will be holding an assembly for the players to announce the winners of the food drive contest.ÃâàA winning class in each grade will receive tickets to Dacotah Bank Puck Give-Away night on the 27 th, as well as a lunch party with the Blizzard team.ÃâàCamelot counselor, Kathy Miller, coordinated with the team so the players could assist with counting, collecting, and hauling the food items after the food drive concludes.ÃâÃÂ
To further the spirit of giving, the Blizzard have also partnered with Dacotah Bank to collect additional items for the Brookings Count Food Pantry. Fan can drop items off at the Brookings Dacotah Bank location and receive $2 off their game ticket for the December 27 thgame sponsored by Dacotah Bank.ÃâÃÂ
The Blizzard take on the Aberdeen Wings on Wednesday, November 27th at the Larson Ice Center at 7:15 pm. The first 300 fans will get a FREE Blizzard puck, sponsored by Dacotah Bank.
