Blitz Single Game Tickets to go on Sale Tomorrow

BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 8, 2002) – Single game tickets for the Blitz' 2002 inaugural season of arenafootball2 in the Centennial Garden go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 AM with a special offer for the first home game.

For the opening game against Louisville on April 20th, select seats in the upper bowl will be sold for only five dollars. About 2,000 of the seats will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

"We want to make sure as many of our home fans as possible can see what we're about on opening night," said general manager Brad Hoffman. "It will be an exciting night for everybody involved and we would like to share the excitement with all of Bakersfield. It's a great price and we hope people will take advantage of the offer."

For the rest of the regular season, ticket prices are as follows; $7, $12, $15, $20, $30 and $60. They are available at all Ticketmaster locations and the Centennial Garden box office.

The Bakersfield Blitz kicks off its season on April 6th at San Diego. The first home game is April 20th at the Centennial Garden against the Louisville Fire. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.

More than two million fans have attended arenafootball2 games in the league's two-year history. In 2000, af2 began its inaugural season with 15 teams. The league expanded to 28 teams in 2001, making it the fastest single-league expansion in the history of sports.
