
Blazers Sign Halbgewachs

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers are proud to announce the signing of 15-year-old Jayden Halbgewachs (pronounced HAL-gwox) their first round pick, 19th overall from the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.
Halbgewachs, who is a 5'7" forward, played for the Bantam AA Prairie Storm and finished with 55 goals, 34 assists and 89 points in 24 games this past season. He will suit up with the Midget AAA Regina Pat Canadians in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League next season.
"We are excited to announce that Jayden and his family have committed to our program," commented General Manager, Craig Bonner. "Jayden is a very talented young player that we look forward to watching develop. His speed, tenacity, character and puck skills are all elite qualities he posses."
Halbgewachs was one of 42 players invited to attend the 2012 NHLPA All-Canadians National Mentorship Camp from July 17th - 21st in Mississauga, Ontario. He will be at fall training camp which starts on August 23rd, 2012.
