Blazers Fall to League-Leading Titans 13-10

BOSTON - Reigning National Lacrosse League MVP Dan Dawson tied his season high with five goals, but the Boston Blazers couldn't hold off a late charge by the Orlando Titans, falling 13-10 in NLL action Saturday night in front of 8,168 fans at the TD Garden. In a game that was tied seven different times, the Titans scored four unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes to improve their East Conference-leading record to 8-4. The Blazers fall to 6-7 on the season.

Orlando jumped out to an early 5-2 lead after the first quarter, but Boston responded with a 4-1 run in the second as Dawson and Jamie Rooney each netted their second goals of the night. Gary Bining scored with 15 seconds remaining in the quarter to secure a 6-6 tie going into the half.

Dawson added three more goals, including one on a highlight-reel shot through his legs, but Orlando pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 4-0 run to end the night.

Anthony Cosmo made 31 saves for the Blazers, and Orlando's Matt Vinc tallied 33.

The Blazers return to the Garden next Saturday for their final home game of the regular season, a matchup with the Minnesota Swarm.
