
Blaze travel to Arizona to start 2006 postseason

SALT LAKE CITY - With Friday night's 55-54 victory over the Kansas City Brigade in the regular-season finale, the Utah Blaze (7-9) earned the No. 6 seed in the American Conference playoffs and will face the No. 3 Arizona Rattlers (8-8) at the U.S. Airways Arena on Saturday, May 20 at 3 p.m. (MT).
The game will be televised on OLN (DirecTV, Channel 656) and can be heard on 1280 The Zone.
The Rattlers swept the regular-season series, 2-0, with the Blaze in 2006. The matchup marks the return of AFL Hall of Famer and Utah Blaze head coach DANNY WHITE to Phoenix. White took the Rattlers to five ArenaBowls and won two titles (1994 and 1997) during his 13 seasons as head coach in Arizona.
The list of former Rattlers on the Blaze includes: future Hall of Famer and current offensive coordinator HUNKIE COOPER, All-Arena candidate OS SIAHA BURLEY, QB JOE GERMAINE, Ironman of the Year and All-Ironman candidate WR/DB ORSHAWANTE BRYANT, Ironman of the Year and All-Ironman candidate WR/LB TOM PACE, DS KELVIN HUNTER, WR/DB RYAN DENNARD, Line coach FLINT FLEMING and FB/LB coach LINDSAY HASSELL.
